I am a business and customer focused legal professional with over 19 years of experience. In my career I worked within a wide array of business types, teams, countries and cultures. My approach is simple: listen carefully, show interest, understand the business that you support, connect with your stakeholders, keep (legal) things simple and provide a clear path for moving forward.
A structured, hands-on approach combined with strong analytical skills make that I successfully help my customers managing legal aspects of their commercial matters. My natural focus lies on creating balance between being a team player, enabling a business to commercially thrive and protecting my customer’s business from excessive risk. I know how to involve and train my stakeholders and always look for ways to improve the quality of the (in house) legal function as a whole.

After obtaining my LLM (law degree) in the Netherlands at the University of Groningen in 2003, I started my career in private practice and consecutively worked within two large law firms, based in The Hague and Amsterdam.
In 2008 I decided to expand my horizon and move to Singapore to continue my career in Asia. In the 6 years that followed, I moved from private practice to an in-house legal role, starting with Mammoet, a global heavy lift & transport services provider and part of SHV, one of the world’s largest private trading groups based in the Netherlands.
After moving on to the USA in 2015 and continuing my career within Mammoet there, I moved back to the Netherlands and worked within Mammoet’s headquarters until 2021: the year in which I had the opportunity to join another SHV group company, Nutreco, a global industry leader active in the field of animal nutrition/fish feed.
In 2024 I started my own business and founded CoTrack, through which I provide business legal services to in-house legal departments, law firms and other service providers active in the legal domain.
